Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to join a supportive school team for the remainder of the school year. This part-time, onsite position begins ASAP and offers 16 hours per week. The PT will work with students with moderate to severe disabilities and travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping students improve mobility, functional independence, and access to their educational environment while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatment services to students with moderate to severe disabilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals
Travel between multiple school sites to provide services as needed
Support students with mobility, positioning, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence
Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, and progress reports
Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Monitor student progress and modify interventions as appropriate
Recommend adaptive equipment, mobility supports, and environmental modifications as needed
Perform all duties expected of a school-based Physical Therapist
Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist license required
Previous school-based experience preferred
Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
Ability and willingness to travel between multiple school sites
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Passion for supporting student mobility, independence, and functional development
