Responsibilities

$500 BONUS for New Hires! 

This position is located in a Jail/Correctional Facility and requires working in close contact with and interacting with inmates.

The Food Service Worker/Delivery Driver prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting. This role will also require you to drive a company vehicle for an established route/territory. You will help with the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer locations.

This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Learn the delivery area.
• Check orders for quality and accuracy.
• Follow proper delivery procedures.
• Help with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance. Clean and sanitize these areas, which you include, but do not limit to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food-safe workstation.
• Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders promptly.
• Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on our vehicle to the manager.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean and also maintain and keep the vehicle clean.
• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift when not driving.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
