Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or van, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks up to 150lbs
• Follow optimized route plans to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards
• Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
• Use mobile devices or handheld scanners to track deliveries, update delivery statuses, and manage route documentation
• Perform manual lifting practices for heavy packages, ensuring safe handling in accordance with workplace weight handling guidelines

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old
• Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with box trucks or van drivers
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and DOT compliance standards
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Able to pass drug screen (including marijuana), background check (no felonies) and DOT physical (we will help you through this!)
