Reports To: Front End Supervisor / PIC

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary

Provides fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service. Processes all tenders correctly (cash, check, credit, debit, SNAP/EBT, WIC), follows age-restricted sales procedures, and supports front end operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, apply the 10-foot rule, and provide assistance.
• Accurately scan, total, and tender transactions.
• Comply with SNAP/EBT and WIC procedures; verify IDs for restricted sales.
• Follow cash handling and till security procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkstand.
• Assist with bagging and customer carry-outs as needed.
• Report known loss or suspicious activity per LP policy.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service or cashier experience preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Lift/carry up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Frequent reaching and repetitive motions.

Scheduling Expectations

Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
Success Indicators (KPIs)

• Transaction accuracy and speed benchmarks.
• Cash over/short within limits.
• Customer service feedback and mystery shop results.
